A Wrongful Death Attorney In Clearwater Aided Me Through A Difficult Crisis
This article has been viewed 96 times.
The notion never crossed my mind that I might need to hunt for a wrongful death attorney in Clearwater. There has never been a uglier day for me than that day. Mom had left for a trip to visit my brother a few hours away, but stopped at a big grocery store to pick up some supplies for the trip. Mom was just about to leave the frozen foods section when her feet went out from under her on a wet floor, sending her to the doctor with a shattered arm and hips. She also received some head damage and was knocked cold. She didn’t wake up again, likely due to her great age. She made it to the hospital, but nothing could be done, and she died the next week.
You expect a store to place a wet floor sign in full view of the public when they mop, but in this case, there was not a sign anywhere in the area. Someone had used soapy water to cleanse the floor, but after doing so, had just walked away with nary a thought. I knew right away that this was unforgivable. Because of this store’s malfeasance, my mother lost her life. Although she was an older person, she was free of many of the ailments that besiege many individuals her age. I’m sure, that, not for this accident, she would have survived for another decade.
Something needed to be done so that we could have justice. The fact that the store said and did nothing while we mourned was offensive to me, and they had not even offered to assist with medical expenses. My exposure to this manner of situation was really very limited and I had no idea of what to do. Finally, a friend of mine who had had experience with an auto accident attorney in Clearwater gave me the number for the law firm he had used.
I had a meeting with one of their partners, who was a wrongful death attorney. He lent us a listening ear and afterward, told us in simple terms what we could do next. We decided that a lawsuit would be in our best interest and we went ahead with the suit.
The legal process can be agonizing and time-consuming, but with our lawyer’s help, we got the result we felt we needed. The store admitted their negligence and paid a lot of cash. The money meant little as we were still lamenting the loss of my incredible, wise mother, but at least her death hadn’t been in vain. For people living in Clearwater, if you need an auto accident attorney or a wrongful death attorney, it’s good to know that there are options to be found.
